The COMPOSE project aims at identifying compact representations of laminar-to-turbulent transition of industrial cases for which multi-modal pathways can co-exist. The approach relies on the development of large-scale data-driven frameworks to merge heterogeneous datasets of high-fidelity data.

High-fidelity flat plate experiments
- Time-resolved Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV)
- Investigation of Laminar Separation Bubbles (LSB) and separated-induced transition
- Investigation of wake-boundary layer interaction

Large-scale flow decomposition
- Proper-Orthogonal Decomposition (POD)-based representation of dynamics
- Investigation of triadic interactions via the energy transfer terms in the turbulent kinetic energy transport equation
