COMPOSE has officially started! This week, we held the kick-off meeting with my supervisors at Università degli Studi di Genova and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, marking the beginning of my Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship.
COMPOSE (Compact Representation of Multi-Modal Transition from High-Fidelity Datasets of Unsteady Flows) will investigate transitional flows encountered in turbomachinery, wind turbines, and aircraft wings – key sectors where understanding laminar–turbulent transition is essential for improving efficiency and performance.
By combining high-fidelity experimental and numerical datasets with data-driven analysis and reduced-order modeling, the project aims to uncover fundamental transition mechanisms and support the development of flow control strategies in the energy and aeronautical sectors.
I am very thankful to Prof. Davide Lengani, Prof. Matteo Dellacasagrande, Prof. Ardeshir Hanifi, and Prof. Dan Henningson for the productive discussions held during the kick-off meeting. I look forward to the collaborations ahead.
